Massage rooms at encore spa7/27/2023 ![]() After another 24 hours, I finally got a call from someone who proceeded to tell me that it must have been an allergic reaction because they always check the oil and "thankfully" the massage therapist had no burns himself. That never happened, and I finally emailed them, along with pictures of the burns. He said that is how they do it, and in a day, a manager would call me. ![]() I kept telling him that this is not the direction I wanted to take. A bit later, a security guard (not anyone form the spa) called me and took a report. I immediately called the Spa to alert them, making it clear I wanted to be sure this didn't happen to anyone else. The next morning, I realized I had burns on multiple places on my body. I figured since I am a cold person, it must be the difference in temperature. The massage itself was very nice, but I kept thinking the oil felt too hot. The facilities were nice, though not the nicest spa I've ever been to. I was gifted an 80-minute massage at the Encore Spa. Wasn't obvious to me at first, but was much much nicer once I figured it out. PPS, If you're staying in the Tower Suites, walk through the separating doors and take the "resort elevator" down to Spa level, so you don't have to go down to the casino and back up. They also have shops and a salon on this level. PS, I think they also have a spa-only pool, but I did not use. To my mind, if staying at the Encore is in budget, then the +$40 add on for total use of the spa is a no-brainer. If you can't tell from this review, I was a huge fan. This also includes access to the fitness center, with decent equipment, and they also have personal trainers and group classes (pilates, aerobics, core, soulcycle, all kinds of stuff). Did that every day and it was just so amazingly refreshing. I am now a huge fan of dry-sauna for 20-30, then waterfall shower for a few seconds, then a cold plunge. ![]() Other facilities are: steam-room, dry-sauna, private-showers, 2 huge jaccuzzis, 2 cold plunges (one at 70F, one at 80F), heated lounge chairs (new to me), and a couple different kinds of waterfall showers. They have alternate sized robes if you're bigger or smaller, you can ask for them. The locker rooms were perfectly clean, nice electronic lock lockers, big fluffy towels, and nice robes. Great relaxing room, with spa water, tea, fruit, and a big screen TV for people who like that sort of thing for sports. Everything about the facilities is just superb. There is a mens & womens side, clothing optional within the segregated parts. The spa is $40/day to have total access to it, or that is included if you purchase any other services, like a massage. ![]() When you step off the elevator, the smell and the appearance, its like something out of a french dynasty, plus modern amenities. First thing is just the raw beauty of the space. SECOND - SPA FACILITIES The spa facilities themselves were the big hit here, and I used them every day that I was there. But the quality level was quite high, if this is in budget. Be aware it was quite expensive, $190 + tip for a 50-minute massage. She had some techniques that worked amazingly well for my specific target area, and even had specific suggestions for addressing this in the future. I've gotten massages at other strip hotels that weren't at this level (or price), where the masseuse wasn't really all that skilled. ![]() She was quite good, and seemed very skilled at her craft. FIRST - MASSAGE I started the vegas trip with a sore neck from a wonky nights sleep, so scheduled a female masseuse to do neck, back, shoulders focused massage. This was my first time in my life using a high-end spa (or really any spa). ![]()
